Sometimes you just need a reminder that good things are happening in the world, too, and America’s Got Talent brought us that last night.
Jayna Brown‘s dreams came true when judge and One Direction singer Louis Tomlinson pushed the golden buzzer, advancing the 14-year-old to the live rounds of the competition.
The homeless teenager, hailing from Baltimore, Maryland, delivered a heart-filled rendition of Andra Day‘s hit “Rise Up.”

“It is not just one thing with you,” Louis told the emotional teenager. “It’s not just the voice. It’s not just the performance. You have everything and it is so infectious to watch you perform!”
Even tough critic Simon Cowell chimed in to tell her: “You, young lady, have just turned this competition upside down.”
We are looking forward to hearing more of Brown’s powerful voice in future episodes. Congrats!
