The State department issued a worldwide travel alert for this holidays due to the possible ISIS attacks. While there is no credible threats here in Maryland we should still be precaucious as there were threats made to Washington, DC and New York. Train stations, airports and other transit hubs will be beefed up with security.

CBS Baltimore reports,

“We’re concerned that there are actual threats, suspicious threats to the Washington DC area, which we sort of surround,” said Governor Larry Hogan.

Tuesday, Hogan met with top emergency management officials.

“Staying vigilant. Be vigilant. If you see something, say something. Don’t hesitate at all,” said Russell Strickland, Maryland Emergency Management.

At BWI and all airports across the country, security has been beefed up amid the alert. Extra officers patrol the concourse as thousands of travelers go through security. Airlines warn people to arrive two hours early for flights inside the US.
