This should be a relief to a lot of hard working Americans on New Years Day. The news broke this morning that the minimum wage in Maryland increased by 75 Cents.

It’s the first of several increases approved by state lawmakers before reaching $10.10 in 2018. The minimum wage will go up another 25 cents in July. Then, in July of 2016, it will rise to $8.75.
