Direct Care Staff

Duties to include but are not limited to assisting disabled adult with daily task, assist with taking meds, helping to plan and preparing for task, assisting clearing and organization, preparing or assisting with the preparation of meals, monitoring and documenting health, behavior and mood, helping with research and preparing documents if needed. Must be able to help communicate with doctors, vendors, police, etc. and document visit. Must also so have the ability to quickly learn new skills and routines or be able to assist the patient with learning them.

Must have own reliable vehicle with insurance and be able to transport to appointments, recreational events, etc. The employee must insure that critical task such as cleaning and hygiene are complete with or without the patients cooperation, if in any case it becomes impossible to complete important task do to the patients uncooperative behavior this should be noted in end of shift report. The abilities of physical training and typing are a plus but not required.

Employees will be required to write a daily report by end of shift stating what occurred during the course of the day, the health, mood and behavior of the patient along with what the patient ate when the patient slept and what goals were met. The report must also include what on the schedule was or wasn’t completed and why.

Requirement:

Must have valid CPR and first aid card along with a valid drives license and own reliable transport with insurance. Also must be able to pass a criminal background check.

Salary:

$11 up to $16 an hour depending on experience:

Security Officer – Full Time / Weekends (Towson)

Edenwald Retirement Community in Towson is seeking an Full Time Security Officer to help on the weekends. OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE AND EXCELLENT COMMUNICATION SKILLS ESSENTIAL. Must be friendly, reliable and enjoy working w/seniors. Prior security experience preferred but not required. A rewarding job is waiting for you.

Hours: Full Time / 32 hrs. a week:

Saturday — 7:00am — 11:00pm (16 hour shift)

Sunday — 7:00am — 11:00pm (16 hour shift)
