The Baltimore Ravens decided to host a trade program for fans who no longer wanted their #27 jerseys that represented former running back Ray Rice.
For two days, the Ravens will be accepting authentic jerseys to trade in for others without question. I wanted to know if you would trade in your jersey?
Thousands of Ravens fans lined up outside M&T Bank Stadium on Friday morning to exchange their Ray Rice jerseys and cut ties with a player who was once one of the team’s most popular.
Zachary Blankenship, a 19-year-old college student from Laurel, was the first to arrive. He said he bought his Ray Rice jersey three years ago for $100 and hoped to get a jersey of kicker Justin Tucker in its place.
“What [Rice] did wasn’t right, and I don’t want to wear a jersey of someone who did something like that,” Blankenship said.
