Celebrity phones were hacked and many female celebrities were victimized as their private pictures hit the internet. Social media sites came out quickly and said that they would take down these images and lots of women’s organizations demonized these hackers for invading these celebrities’ privacy. Interesting though is that all of this action was focused on the white women that were hacked there was very little mention of Jill Scott’s images and protecting her privacy.

Is black sexuality respected?

  • Nope! We’re seen as concubines, and put into lists of sexual deviants and/or sex slave
  • It’s an outrage because don’t nobody wanna see Casper pale ass skin mosquito bites n rib cages & no I don’t think it’s equally respected but black women naked are more appealing to look at
  • I was upset about the Jill pic. I am. Huge fan of her. I think that was totally disrespectful to invade her privacy. She has a pretty decent image and someone wanted to bring that down. Shameful no respect so to answer the question the level of respect and appreciation is Not the same!
  • The pic of Serena for ESPN body there was negativity for that as well yet plenty of non black athletes grace that cover and its considered -art’.
  • I don’t think black sexuality is equally respected. In an industry where sex sells and so heavily exploited, promoted, some of our black celebrities, entertainers, think they need to “Undress to achieve Success.”
