One of my favorite Tv doctor’s, CNN’s Chief Medical Correspondent, Sanjay Gupta, recently admitted that he was wrong for not supporting the use of medical marijuana. He is now apologizing for not thoroughly reviewing research on the drug and after looking closely he says that he was wrong about WEED.
The doctor now says, “I mistakenly believed the Drug Enforcement Agency listed marijuana as a schedule 1 substance [a category of dangerous drugs] because of sound scientific proof.” He cites a 3 year old patient whose seizures were dramatically reduced from 300 a week to three a month with medical marijuana’s help.
Gupta adds that over 70 percent of Americans take prescription drugs and points out that tolerance is a real problem in existing medications. He also shares that people are likely to overdose from a prescription drug every 19 minutes yet he couldn’t find one case of marijuana overdose.
