The major story this week surrounded NBA center Jason Collins coming “out of the closet.” Many of his colleagues and celebs expressed their support, while others had some “not so nice” things to say. The most interesting, however, is Collins’ ex-fiancee who had NO IDEA he was gay. Carolyn Moos, a former WNBA player, had an 8 year relationship with Collins and was engaged to be his wife. She has no idea why he called off the wedding until now. Although she’s stunned, she lends her support through her shock.
“It’s very emotional for me as a woman to have invested 8 years in my dream to have a husband, soul mate, and best friend in him,” Moos said. “So this is all hard to understand.”
“I care about [Jason] tremendously and only want the best for him. I want Jason to be happy for a lifetime and stay true to who he really is, inside and out.”
