Today, your girlfriend invited you to Q Swerv on the Spirit boatride/happy hour with 92Q and you’re alittle nervous. You’re single and you’re not sure if you’re ready to meet anyone new right now. You accepted the offer but now you’re nervous because you’ve been out of “the game” of dating for a minute. Well…I’ve been there so how about I help you with a few tips that might help you out.
Some people don’t know this about me, but I’m shy. Yeah, I am! It’s not so easy for me to walk up to people and start a convo right off the bat. My job gives me the courage that I need so I can pretty much handle it that way. If you’re like me, I’m sure you are shy too and need alittle push!
1. DON’T GET DRUNK: Although it’s a way to loosen you up a bit, it’s not a good idea to be slurring and stumbling around prospects! As Tamar would say “THAT AIN’T HOT!”
2. Step outside your comfort zone. Meeting new people is a definate challenge; especially in a setting you’re not too familiar with. A boat ride is that challenge so take it on full force!
3. Leave your guard down half way. Be prepared to meet some duds tonight, but not every guy in the room is running for Mayor UGLYVILLE!
4. Have fun! When’s the last time you laughed? Start a conversation! Take initiative! Be yourself and again HAVE FUN!!!
