What’s worse than having a cold? Having one in the summer!!! Usually colds strike during the winter months but there are always those instances where you come down with the summer sickness. If you’ve ever had one then you already know how miserable they can make you feel. Here are some tips to help you kick that cold right where it hurts!! And get you back to feeling better than ever!!

 Here are a few remedies that will help you get rid of your Summer visitor:

Take vitamin C:

Vitamin C helps boost your immune system and helps your body combat the illness that’s affecting your wellbeing. Not only is it good for you but others will thank you for not spreading your cold to them.

 

Stay Hydrated:

It’s important to drink plenty of WATER!!! Staying hydrated is essential to allowing your body to replace the fluids it loses fighting the cold. If you don’t like drinking water Gatorade is always an option.

 

Take Medicine:

I know it taste disgusting but taking over the counter medicines is the possibly the best option to quickly combat and prevent a cold.  Depending on your symptoms there are a wide variety of medicines that will help stop your cough, runny nose, body aches, fever and congestion. Cough drops are a lifesaver!! Taking day and nighttime medicine will also help relieve your cold faster get and get you right back to your old self.

 

Get plenty of REST!!!

This is by far the most important thing to do when sick. Your body needs time to recuperate and regain its strength from fighting your cold so the best option is to just get some shut eye. A good night’s sleep does the mind and body good!! SO GET SOME SLEEP!!!!
