Memorial Day Diet

Just because you are on a diet doesn’t mean that you should skip any Memorial Day parties! You must remember to eat lightly. This is not the opportunity to pig out! It is all about decisions and if you decide to eat everything and drink beer, then the after math will be all your fault. But if you eat one burger and exercise after, then you should be fine.

If you go to a cook out, eat a turkey burger instead of a beef burger! Eat grilled chicken instead of fried chicken. Eat in portions! One hot dog is better than two! Don’t be greedy please….

Drink water instead of juices or sodas. They both contain sugar. Stay away from liquors and beers, try wines instead!
Skip the heavily dressing salads such as potato salad and try pasta salad instead. Grilled corn on the cob is better than snacks such as chips.

Instead of sitting around listening to the radio, get up and move around! Get active. Play kickball or baseball with the kids. Go swimming! Work off the food that you ate.

Remember if you can not follow these rules, just stay home! Eating too much food will only hurt you!
