In a recent interview with HipHopcleopatra,  Carmelo Anthony’s headlining artist, Diego Cash dishes on new music, learning from mistakes, and sends a positive message to Baltimore’s young men.  The Brooklyn born,  Atlanta bred artist has a lot to offer with his heavy influences stemming from a multicultural background. Diego is currently signed to Kross Over Entertainment and is a label mate to Cassidy.

On his new outlook on life after a near-death experience:

“I would say it was me growing up… it just sat me down for a minute and made me re-focus my life…It help me get my act together.”

On why his music is different in an over saturated market:

” …what sets me apart is my style of music, my slang and my style. . . I’m embedded in to two different cultures, not many people can say that. “

On stopping youth violence:

“I mean I can say the same things that you always hear people say, but growing up it always sounds like bullS**t to us.  It’s weird because when you are younger its glamorized like its cool, but as you start to grow up you realize that it really aint.”
