Gunfire erupted inside celebrity hairstylist Derek J’s salon, The J Spot, in Atlanta Wednesday (March 14) following a disagreement over a hairstyle.
Police officials say Neffe, the sister of singer Keyshia Cole, stopped at The J. Spot to get her hair together after a stylist across town jacked it up.
Derek J, who makes regular appearances on Bravo Network’s The Real Housewives of Atlanta, then asked Neffe to contact the stylist to inquire about the specific type of products used in Neffe’s hair.
“Her (hair was) messed up to the point we didn’t know what to do. So I was just like, reach out to the stylist and say ‘Hey, what did you use, what did you do?” and it turned from a professional conversation to more of an argument but we thought it was done,” Derek J told WSBTV reporter Ryan Young.
“A few hours later a gentleman shows up, the other stylist, wanting to talk and started an argument. I asked him to leave. Before turning away, he waved the gun in my face and said, ‘You don’t think I will?’ And I backed up,” owner Lisa McCall said.
Shots were fired into the salon floor and police are still searching for the other stylist involved.
