A clip of Jay-Z and Robin Thicke’s new collaboration “Meiple (Me I Play)” from Thicke’s upcoming Sex Therapy album has landed online.

The snippet shows Hov making a playful reference to his wife, Beyonce.

Just last week Robin Thicke tweeted that he was in the lab with Jay-Z and now we have a snippet of their joint effort. “Meiple (Me I Play)” features a rap from Hov, who surprisingly name-checks his black Brigitte Bardot wife Beyonce. Ooh la la! The song, along with collabos with Snoop Dogg, Estelle, Kid Cudi and Jazmine Sullivan, can be found on Thicke’s new album Sex Therapy, due December 8. (Rap-Up)

While details were initially scarce, Thicke confirmed the forthcoming joint record via Twitter last Friday (October 23).

“In the studio today with Jay Z…,” Thicke wrote. “His Hovieness!! So excited!! He’s jumping on one of my records for my sex therapy album. Wish me luck!! RT” (Robin Thicke’s Twitter)

Following-up 2008’s Something Else, the singer also touched on the inspiration behind Sex Therapy.

“It’s in the tradition of Marvin Gaye’s Sexual Healing,” Thicke said. “No matter where you’re at — whether you’re just starting a relationship or if you’ve been in a relationship a long time, a little sex therapy is a good thing.” (Miami Herald)

The teaser music video clip for Hov’s Empire State of Mind” also landed online this week.

A music video for Jay-Z’s single “Empire State of Mind” has been clipped. The snippet arrives in black-and-white scenes, featuring the rap mogul performing alongside his collaborator Alicia Keys. As Alicia sings lines “New York, New York”, NYC city view during the night is flashed. (Ace Showbiz)
